Remove avast! Authorization Password to Access Settings

Avast Antivirus and Internet Security is one of security software-

   if u  forgot your authorization password  then you cannot able to change setting in avast and you also can't uninstall avast without enter your authorization  password
  avast always shows this dialog box -

 you can follow this Method to remove  password-

1)  To remove above message shown by avast
           to remove this you've to rename aswresp.dat file
      a) to rename this file you have to download & install Download PC Hunter -->  (rar file)  that can remove even the   most stubborn files and registry entries

      b) Extract the PC Hunter archive and launch the 32-bit or 64-bit version depending on your Windows version,  administrator privileges are required. The program is portable and doesn’t need installation.

      c) Click the File tab and navigate to the following using the folder tree on the left.

 For window 7 following path is     C:\ProgramData\Avast Software\Avast     

 For window xp following path is     C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVAST Software\Avast

     d)  Click on the Avast folder to populate the file list.

     e)  In the file list right click on aswResp.dat and choose Rename. Give the file another name such as aswresp.dat and click OK. (shown in figure)  

       Now, you can change your avast setting,,now open Avast from the tray icon and the password should be gone.

Also, you can delete this aswresp.dat file by usiing PC Hunter ->

       

  The file will be instantly deleted and you can now access Avast as normal.
